A race queen is a type of campaign girl found as part of
a pit crew in certain kinds of motor racing. It is especially popular in
Japan, where race queens sometimes go on to become models or even
actresses, based on their popularity. Its popularity is also gaining in
Korea, China, and other Asian nations.
Their official job is to hold an
umbrella over the driver while his car is being worked on. However, in
reality, their function is simply to make motor racing seem sexier while
promoting the teams and their sponsors.
They generally wear some sort of
revealing costume mini dress, mini skirt, swimsuit, hot pants as well as
pantyhose and high heels or knee high boots.

So what now then....
It
would seem that with the re-launch of their web site at the start of the
year Gals Paradise have realized that downloadable content is the way to
go. For a monthly subscription of you can have access to updated
content.
But where does it leave the die hard RQ magazine collector, such as
myself? Well it would seem out on a limb, with no August issue it looks
like GP have cut one of my already sparse yearly fixes. But all is not
lost, in my search for Japanese RQ goodness I came across Sabra. While
Sabra is more a men’s magazine in a similar vain as Maxim it does on
occasion carry RQ stories and pictures. The September issue featured
Miho Yoshioka as its cover girl and includes a
loose booklet of the ‘120 best race queens’.
Also there’s a new photobook due out at the
end of September ‘06 by the Dechau! Girls.
